It’s been a long road to the mission field, but, by the grace of God, we are leaving on Tuesday, November 20. After four and a half months, the Italian government granted the religious visa. THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for this! I have accepted a call from the Escondido United Reformed Church to serve as their missionary in Milan, Italy. God willing, I will be installed at EURC on Sunday evening at 6:00pm, November 18. If you are in the area, we would love for you to join us that evening to give God thanks for his mercies and ask him to open hearts for the gospel in Italy.
Milan is a city of over 3,000,000 people and located in Italy’s most populated region, Lombardy. It is an industrial city where Italians from all over the country come to find work. We are praying that the Lord will provide many opportunities to reach people with the glorious message of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Although Italy has a rich history in Christianity, when it comes to gospel-preaching churches, the land is poor and impoverished. Less than 1% of Italians identify as Protestant. Although the Reformation thrived in Italy during the early sixteenth century, it died a quick death at the hands of the Roman Inquisition in the early 1540s. Our desire is to make disciples in Milan through the ordinary means of grace.
This mission to Italy is only possible with the faithful prayers and generous contributions of people like you. If you would like to help us meet our financial goal for 2019 by making a donation, you may send a check to my overseeing church:
